In today’s intention we pray that we will put on the full armor of God so that we are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. In beautiful fall-like weather we gathered the troops outside these gates of hell. Morgan County Right to Life joined our efforts in gently speaking to the abortion-bound mothers entering this slaughterhouse. Scriptures tells us, “We do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but with principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the full armor of God that you may be able to withstand in this evil day, and having done all to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13.
Praise God that our prayers and efforts were producing fruit. Jessica came inside our ultrasound van and was able to view an approx 28 week old baby boy. She asked for her husband who was sitting in the car to be summoned inside. With tears of joy they both broke down inside the van seeing the little frame of their son auditioning for his life on the screen. We went over resources and placed supplies in their hands as we shared the good news with the prayer warriors. A cheer and congratulations went up for this couple! They thanked us and said, “We didn’t know there would be nice people like you all out here. You all are a blessing.” We responded, “Thank you for blessing us this day!” We walked them to their car and they drove off the lot.
Another save, a family of four, walked back out and did not go through with the scheduled abortion. A save from the past week came inside our van to view an ultrasound picture of her late-term baby. We went over resources and a follow-up physician appointment. We then walked them to their car and watched them drive off. Praise God!
Gird your waist. Put on the breastplate of righteousness. Shod your feet
with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace. Take the shield of faith. Take the
helmet of salvation. Take the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God; it is the
only offensive weapon that can fight Satan and demonic powers on this sidewalk.
There, our armor is complete. “Lord,
as You lead us in the battle of abortion, may we be reminded that the battle is
truly Yours. Thank You for hearing our request for direction and protection.
Thank You for the victory that is ours because of Your Son Jesus, Amen.”
