Granite City , IL Report

10/15/2010- DAY 24

In todayís 40 Days for Life intention, we pray for God to continue blessing the efforts that have gone into the 40 Days for Life campaign as we trust in Him for the results. In todayís reflection, Nehemiah provides an awesome blueprint for volunteers in Godís service, particularly those who respond to the devastation abortion has caused our nation. It has a rippling effect on society. Nehemiah grieved for Godís reputation when he witnessed the condition of Jerusalem ís walls. The city walls were broken down, which was a sign of weakness on the part of Jerusalem . No walls meant no security for this city and its people, but Nehemiah was determined and he covered every effort in prayer and trusted in His creator. He inspired others to join the cause and help rebuild the deplorable walls. He took direct hits from others. He confronted opposition to rebuilding the walls, but he turned directly to God when discouraged.

In our daily ministry of over 18 years we, too, have taken hits for caring about the city walls in Granite City . We, too, have confronted demonic opposition from rebuilding the walls in this once great city, but just like Nehemiah we trust in the Lord to fight our battles and acknowledge His sovereignty as we serve Him in a mocking world. We, too, must have an attitude of confession and repentance before a holy God. We must pray for strength, refute slander, and not be diverted from our work. Press in and on for the glory of the Lord! Like Nehemiah, we will draw attention from the enemy when we are seeking to protect the well-being of Godís people. We, too, must stand firm and seek Godís help to persevere until the task is done. We, too, will be victorious.

Our remnant reported of two precious babies saved this day. One Black American mother and daughter came back out and confirmed that they did not kill their baby. Two Caucasian girls came back out and confirmed to Stan that they were keeping their baby. This effectiveness was making the devil angry, so the local police were called to the crime scene to harass the powerful prayer warriors who were standing on the devilís last nerve by saving babies. Alleluia!

ďYours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. All that is in heaven and in the earth is Yours. We pray for continual guidance and protection throughout the remaining days of our campaign. May we be steadfast, unmoving, and always abounding in Your work, knowing that our labor will not be in vain. In Jesusí name we pray, Amen.Ē
