3/9/2010- 2 saves

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” Jeremiah 1:4-5

With today’s 40 Days for Life scripture we realize God knows every human being before they are born and He determines their destiny. And yes, everyone has a destiny. We tried to convey that to each and every abortion-bound mother walking inside this late afternoon; many listened, but continued inside to carry out the execution on their innocent babies. Some laughed at our offers to raise their child for them, or to help save their lives.

One of the tragedies in our abortion culture is that life in the womb has become so devalued and cheapened. We quite often mention that unfortunately what used to be considered the safest place for a child, that being a mother’s womb, has now become a tomb. The pro-choice crowd would argue that a child in the womb does not even exist. Many years ago outside Hope(less), we would converse and witness to a seminarian student from a rabidly liberal theological institute. When we asked him when he thought it was a baby, his answer was what most pro-death radicals say, “It’s a baby when the woman says it’s a baby.” This can be no further from the truth. Fortunately, science and modern medical technology are proving this to be true. The child in the womb is known by God, and as such, has being.

Praise God, a mother and daughter came back out. They confirmed they had saved their baby and drove by Judy off the lot. A few minutes after the first save, a couple from Missouri walked back out; they seemed upset, but also chose life for their baby as they got into their truck and drove off the lot. Thank you Lord!

Later that evening, we journeyed to the State Capitol in Springfield , Illinois , where our ministry had God’s mail to be delivered to our state legislators.

“Lord, we confess that in You we live and move and have our being. Because You are, we are. May we find grace from You to affirm the being of every human being, and may we labor to make this truth known to the world around us. In Jesus’ Name we pray.”
