“Innocent blood has a voice, and that voice cries out for justice.”

Such a sobering statement. Scriptures tell God’s people that, “Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man.” Genesis 9:5-6.

In our 40 Days reflection, abortion is the deliberate taking of an innocent life and shedding that person’s blood. To date, we are reminded that the blood of over 50 million unborn children permeates our land and cries out from the blood-drenched ground of our cities and nation to Almighty God. When abortion-bound mothers and their accomplices are confronted with this truth, most respond with the “cheap” grace attitude to erase their guilty consciences. “Oh, God will forgive me!” This is deliberate disobedience flying in God’s face. This is evil. You don’t receive God’s assurance of mercy and forgiveness with this reckless attitude as if you’re purchasing Progressive auto insurance. God wants true repentance and a contrite heart.

Today we witnessed many mothers returning to finish their late-term abortions from the day before. Some were barely able to walk back inside after they arrived. It was so disheartening to witness fathers and mothers ushering their daughters inside to kill their grandbabies. One older Black American man tried to hush the sidewalk counselor’s offer to adopt the young girl’s condemned baby. Another mixed race couple was physically fighting in their car over the fate of their

unborn child. The mother screamed at our prayerful presence,

“I already have three kids!” as she fought off the male friend from preventing her from entering the abortion mill. We prayed harder.

Since this deathcamp has been closed the past two days, the killing numbers were up a little. So, too, were the numbers of deathscorts. After hearing of the 40 Days for Life campaign successes, their plans were to ensure everyone that the babies scheduled to die would be escorted inside the belly of the beast. We did have new faces join us this day in prayer for the babies and their mothers. Sadly, we received tragic news that a 40 Days prayer warrior with us today just found out two of his fellow church members were found drowned in their family lake. It was an unfortunate accident. We prayed for them before they                                       Day 4- praying

returned back home.

This shows how fragile life is; we never know when God will call loved ones back. Life is precious. As believers we are entrusted with the Word of God, and we must take a stand for life. We must speak out and we must do everything to protect life, to pursue justice, and to encourage repentance to those who bear responsibility for this great evil.

On a joyous note, we shared new pictures of our saved and adopted baby with her many Small Victories’ godfathers and godmothers who stand with our cause and ministry. They are the faithful support team behind the scene of our successes. They were outside the mill that day when we saved this mother from aborting. When she went into labor they prayed her through a safe delivery. Today we were sharing the beautiful fruits of our labors with each one of them. They left the abortion mill much encouraged.

Although we had no confirmed saves on our watch, we knew we already had the victory. We do each and every time Christ-centered believers show up in a humble, prayerful spirit outside where innocent blood is being shed. Let our prayer be: “Father, forgive us for our lack of courage and our want of compassion for the unborn and for those lost and hurt by abortion. Renew our

minds and strengthen us in righteousness. Help us to be the salt and light once more. May every human being be treated with the respect due, for we are made in Your image. In Jesus’ Name we pray.”

“For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayers. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 3:12.
