Granite City , IL Report

3/24/2010- 2 saves

Our 40 Days for Life intention asks that we pray that those who have forgotten their purpose may discover it in God and therefore have the courage to choose life.

As we stand daily outside this abortion mill where lives are taken and destroyed, we wait on God to tell us what to say. Many, many times we begin by telling the mothers that God loves them, and that He has a purpose and a plan for their lives. The hardest thing to do for an abortion-bound mother is to have the courage to physically turn away at death’s doors and walk into the arms of those that have real love and real hope through Christ.

After we set up our outreach to the mothers, it wasn’t long before God began blessing us with fruit. A young couple from Nashville , IL came back out. We had talked to them earlier. They took a brochure and confirmed they were keeping their baby. Another couple from Missouri came back out a few minutes later, and also told us that they had saved their baby. A third couple from Illinois came back out without getting an abortion, but did not confirm if they had decided to save their baby.

The chief abortionist, Yogendra Shah, in his tan Nissan exited the garage shortly after the third couple left.

“Thank You, God, for those that chose life this day. Continue to let them know that You have a purpose and a plan for their lives. Remind us today that there is no truth but You. Do not let us fall prey to the evil one’s lie that we may choose death. Remind us right now that You, who created all life, are in control of all life, and let us know right now that You who created all life, are in control of all life, and let us choose life always. In Jesus’ name we pray.”

The Missouri NARAL and SIUC deathscorts were working feverishly to get every baby inside and to try to block our words of other options with their portly bodies. So silly. One young girl came with her mother. She looked over at us as I offered to show her a free picture of her baby. I told her how precious life is, that this was her last chance to save her child, and that God asked us to tell her that. She looked over her shoulder as she went inside.

We kept praying and softly speaking to the abortion-bound mothers as they walked up to the doors. Some aborting mothers brought other children to wait inside the slaughterhouse while their younger sibling was murdered. God creates life and only God can take life. God creates all human lives. The little one swimming in his mother’s womb, the infant smiling in her father’s arms, the child crying in the hospital bed, the energetic teen running another mile, the old man gasping his last breath…all were created at their beginning by their Father through the Son. No exceptions.

As we went over to speak with the rosary group, the young girl we spoke with earlier came back out and walked directly to Daniel. She told him, “I wanted you and your wife to know I didn’t do it. I’m keeping my 8 week old baby.” She accepted a brochure, told Daniel to tell me the news, and said she would be calling us. Praise God!

A few minutes later, a couple of young girls from Missouri came out, confirmed they were keeping their baby, and thanked us for being there. Alleluia! We quickly shared the good news. A Small Victories save stopped by the abortion mill to show us her precious baby girl. This was encouraging to the faithful; tears came to their eyes. Even to the Baptist women who were told by a local pregnancy center not to stand outside the abortion mill or to have anything to do with the picketers or else they could not volunteer at their center. This is shameful. Because it showed everyone this day how vital our peaceful, prayerful presence is outside where babies are being killed. Just ask the over 3500 babies that have been saved from this abortion mill if it makes a difference. Jesus did not sit in his office waiting for the lost and hurting to come to Him; He went to the streets seeking them. Amen!

“O God, may we always be quick to call You, Father. And when we call You, Father, let Your Spirit remind us that we, and all the people, from their beginning to their last day, are Your children. We praise you Father. In Jesus’ name we pray.”
