Granite City , IL Report

Granite City , IL- Today’s rally: We had two abortion bound mothers who decided to save their babies and Angela performed two ultrasounds while Fr. Chris Comerford and Monsignor Kenneth Steffen led the prayers and rally. Over 40 prayer warriors attended with one woman who drove over three hours from Polk County , Illinois to come stand and pray with us.

A grandmother came across the street from the local hospital to let us know that a child was born who was saved in our ultrasound van a couple of months ago from this abortion mill. “Christina” delivered a precious baby boy weighing in at 8 lbs 2 oz.

Brenda (mother) and Brittney (daughter) came into our ultrasound van after seeing the prayerful crowd of people outside the abortion mill. To their delight they viewed a 14.5 week old baby girl auditioning for her life. It brought them to tears. They came over to the rally afterwards, thanked everyone, shared their testimony and told everyone how important it was to have someone out here to help them. They did not think anyone cared. Boy, were they wrong!

Denise and her boyfriend were walking towards the abortion mill when they stopped in the alley and viewed the prayerful group. We were going through devotions when someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, “This young girl needs help.” We brought her inside the ultrasound van where to their surprise they watched their 5 week old baby floating in an ocean of amniotic fluid with a swimmer’s back stroke. They giggled and felt some relief.

We ended with prayers and encouragement. Only one drive by that cursed us. We were blessed. The group of prayer warriors were so encouraged. They were a part of good things that are happening through prayer, fasting, and standing. This is only the beginning of what God can do through us. “God calls us not to do great things, but to do small things with great love.” –Mother Teresa
