10/14/2009                                                      DAY 22

“Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this...” Job 12:9-10.

Our intention this raw, rainy fall day speaks on how trivial we treat life in society today. The weather was befitting of the mood that suits what goes on behind this deathcamp’s doors. So many abortion-bound mothers don’t realize the preciousness of the life growing in their wombs. Many times through the years we have reminded them that, “You can’t get that baby back when you want it. Abortion is forever.”

A prayer warrior joined us in the rain to pray and intercede for the babies scheduled to die this day. She, too, has been living out the “life of Job” as our reflection speaks of today, persecuted for her faith and strong beliefs of the sanctity of life. The truth is that, “Every life is made and allowed to live by God’s sovereign power and authority.” No person has the right to take life.

We must realize, just as Job did, that God in His wisdom and mercy will redeem. Job never lost faith as so many in today’s culture have. Because Job trusted in the Lord and relied on His power and dependence, God blessed Job. The Lord restored all that Job lost. That is what hopeless abortion-bound mothers must turn to and believe in. “God has a plan; He knows your situation. He has plans for you and your descendants to prosper, so choose life this day and not curses.” Deuteronomy 30:19.

Praise God that a mother and daughter from Missouri came back out and confirmed they were, “not going through with the abortion.” They thanked us, got in their car, and drove away.

“O Lord, You have searched me and know me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You discern my thoughts from far away. Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, You know it completely. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay Your hand upon me.” Psalms 139.
