Granite City , IL Report

10/16/2009                                                     DAY 24

To God be the glory! Twins were saved this cold and gloomy day as we stood in the gap for the least of these. As soon as our pregnancy outreach arrived God was answering prayers. Sherri and her friend came inside our ultrasound van, and to their surprise they viewed twins, approx 6 weeks. She told us the abortion mill staff would not let her see the screen and told her how much the abortion would cost. We went over resources and follow-up instructions. They were very thankful for all our help.

In our daily reflection, it speaks of Nehemiah and the broken down walls of Jerusalem . Nehemiah worked to repair the destruction just like we do today and everyday we show up in Granite City trying to repair the walls that the destruction from abortion on this city and across our nation has caused. No matter what came against Nehemiah, he kept his focus, with a troll in one hand and a spear in the other. He kept rebuilding as we do. Eventually rebuilding the family is our goal.

Abortion is the greatest destroyer of peace and families. “One child at a time,” we say brings about the destruction of the family through abortion, which was the devil’s plan all along. We must be reminded that we are fighting for the future of our families. We must pray for strength, rebut slander, and keep focused. Stand firm until the task is done. To God be the glory!

Bam! Two girls walking inside the abortion mill walked over to us after seeing the ultrasound van and hearing us softly call over inquiring if we could help them. “Yes, I need an ultrasound.” We brought them inside. Shelly was able to view her 5 week old baby auditioning for his/her life on the ultrasound screen. We went over resources and physician follow-up and exchanged contact information. They were excited as they exited the van and thanked us.

This is why and how to overcome evil: by doing good. With God’s help in persevering and standing firm we are victorious.
