Small Victories at the Illinois State Capitol Legislative Day

Our major lobbying point was the ludicrous impasse of the Parental Notification law, which has been stalled once again with an injunction by a Cook County judge since its passage 14 years ago in the Illinois State House. HB6205, if passed, will stop the parental notification of minor children undergoing an abortion, and greatly expand taxpayer funding by millions of dollars for abortions and much more. This is “judicial tyranny”.

            Dawn Behnke, chair of IFRL-PAC, was the moderator of this day’s event. At the reception, she personally spoke in length to us regarding the current legislation impasse we brought up. Basically, she explained, this is typical protocol in the Illinois courts. It will take another year and hopefully, the injunction holding up this good law will be lifted. Once again we asked the question, “How can a liberal Cook County state judge have more authority than the State of Illinois and 80% of its constituents?” We just don’t understand except that this is just more proof of how government is trying to control everything, including the family unit. Anti-family, anti-Christian, anti-morality values seem to have our nation in a chokehold position.

Planned Parenthood, private abortion mills, and the abortion industry think they have more rights to your minor children than you do. Mega death mills such as Hope Clinic in Granite City , Illinois have made national news over this debacle. Our ministry has on several occasions exposed this travesty of a mother-child relationship and the abuse of parents’ rights to their children when it comes to underage abortion at just this killing facility alone.   Hope Clinic thinks it makes better parents to your underage minors when it comes to sex education, morality, promiscuity, birth control, and abortion. Abortion is a serious and invasive surgical procedure that can have life threatening complications. Who does the abortion mill call then if a minor suffers medical complications during their abortion procedure? Hmmm… 

We have actually tried intervening on behalf of mothers who have rushed to this particular abortion facility after learning that their minor daughters have skipped school or have been taken to the abortion mill by an older male and coerced/forced into an abortion, without their parents’ knowledge or permission. We have literally physically held devastated mothers up on the sidewalk outside this mill begging and pleading for assistance from local and state authorities to intervene, to no avail.

We have witnessed abortion mill employees taunt and photograph grieving mothers we have held up. Hope Clinic employee Debra-Knox Diederman screamed in one mother’s face, “You don’t have any rights; it’s her body!” and walked back inside Hope Clinic. Four hours later Sally Burgess, the deathcamp director, came outside and released the girl into her broken mother’s arms only after the abortion was completed. Where’s the compassion? Oh, that’s right, do you really think Hope Clinic cares about a mother-child relationship in their lucrative and bloody business?

            Many of the legislators were impressed with our large family and the history of our pregnancy outreach to abortion-bound mothers in Granite City . We met Republican State Senator Bill Brady who is running for Governor in the state of Illinois , State Representative John Cavaletto, and State Senator David Luechtefeld.

              

            We also spoke to many of our Springfield supporters at several occupied tables this evening. We were catching them up on parental notification in Illinois and the problem at Hope Clinic, and expressed our desire to see Illinois abortion-free. We are the only Midwest state where there is no regulation. That is why over 80% of Hope Clinic’s clients are crossing state lines to get abortions. If you want to see Hope Clinic close, then mandate and enforce the parental notification law that is already on the books, because minors crossing state lines are keeping the lights on inside this slaughterhouse.

Illinois can once again redeem itself and begin the house cleaning of corruption that it is currently known for and return to the title of Land of Lincoln , land of the free. Judicial tyranny only benefits the oppressor, not the oppressed. It’s time to let your voices be heard. It’s time to take back what the devil has stolen and return control of our children to their parents, the ones who are responsible for them, footing their bills, and raising them.
