Baby Stolen from Motherís Womb

National Amber-Alert Issued Eight Hours Later

An eight-month pregnant woman was slain in her home, and her fetus was then cut from her womb, authorities said. Believing the infant survived, they issued an Amber Alert early Friday.

SKIDMORE, MO. December 17, 2004

Reporters, media, and news anchors were stumbling over the breaking news story in reference to "fetus" vs. "baby" cut from a pregnant motherís womb. A modern Jack-the-ripper filleted an eight-month pregnant, 23-year-old Bobbi Jo Stinnettís womb and stole the "fetus" leaving the near death mother strangled and hemmoraging.

Bobbi Jo Stinnettís mother found the grisly crime scene and her body Thursday afternoon.

Nodaway County Sheriff Ben Epsey said, "Someone was wanting a baby awfully bad." He also said, "We know she was alive in the afternoon, within an hour of being found."

Epsey said investigators were looking for a car that had been reported seen in the driveway at the Stinnett home, a red two-door Honda hatchback from the late 1980s or early 1990s.

Authorities late Friday said a Kansas woman, who had suffered a miscarriage, confessed to strangling a pregnant Missouri woman in her home and then cutting the baby from her womb. Lisa Montgomery, 36, of Melvern, Kansas was arrested and charged in the kidnapping of the child "resulting in the death of the infantís mother," according to an FBI affidavit filed late Friday. A second person was earlier being questioned but does not yet face any charges. Sheriff Epsey believes Stinnett resisted the attack, and strands of hair were found in the victimís hands.

The baby girl was found in good health on Friday after authorities got an anonymous tip brought about by the Amber Alert. Epsey said the lead was the same he mentioned to reporters earlier Friday. At the time, he said it concerned a woman who had come home with a day-old baby but had not gone to a hospital. Epsey said he had gone to a local member of Congress after he was told that the case did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert because authorities did not know the childís hair or eye color or any other details. He said the alert was delayed until about midnight Thursday.

"Iím a little disappointed that it happened like it did," he said. "All of us standing here feel like this baby, even though it was taken a month premature, we had a live baby. I feel like that should justify an Amber Alert.". Authorities concluded it was a baby and evidently deserving justice and protection.

Stinnett, married for little more than a year and expecting her first child, worked at an engine factory in nearby Maryville. Her husband was at work at the time she was killed authorities said. A neighbor, Bill Dragoo, said Stinnett and her husband raised dogs and "didnít bother anybody. It blows my mind that this happened. She was such a shy person. They didnít deserve this."

Several pregnant women have been killed in recent years by attackers who then removed their "fetuses" in some cases to pass the children off as their own. In the most recent case, a 21-year-old woman was shot to death in Oklahoma in December 2003, allegedly by another woman who pretended the 6-month old "fetus" was her child. The "fetus" died and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

We know that human life is going to be taken by an enemy who has come to rob, kill, and destroy. When we sow bloodshed in the womb, we will reap it in the streets. The Scott Petersons, Mark Hackings, Andrea Yates, and in this case the Bobbi Jo Stinnett killer are just the tip of the iceberg. We allow innocent blood to be shed to a god called "choice" by modern day Jack-the rippers, also known as abortionists. Why are we shocked with the rising numbers of fetal larceny and maternal homicides that make the headlines? A culture of death and a spirit of murder feed the frenzy of barren women murdering for babies and mothers that murder their own babies by paying a modern day Jack-the-ripper to do it for them, or by their own hands. Approximately 55 babies were murdered in Granite City, Illinois today, seven days before Christmas. This massacre didnít make the headlines. Romans 2:1-5 ."You who pass judgement on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape Godís judgment?..."

There can be no question that if we continue to sow bloodshed in the womb, we shall reap an ever increasing harvest of bloodshed in the streets. "Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you."(Ezekiel 35:6) The remedial judgments of Almighty God are already upon us. Blood is coursing down the corridors of our homes, schools, workplaces, and streets and there is not a police force big enough, a piece of legislation wise enough, or a law strong enough to stop the flow.

We have tolerated thirty-two years of unabated child-killing. It was perpetuated by a lie from the devil himself through the Supreme Court of the United States of America, and has eliminated one third of the generation 32 years old and younger. This has been our greatest national travesty! Domestic terrorism has been sown in the womb and we are reaping the horrible consequences of domestic and foreign terrorism in our streets.

It is time for us to confess and ask God to forgive us for our apathy and complacency towards the "least of these" who are made in Godís image. 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

"Be strong and courageous" Joshua 1:6
