she comes, Miss Missouri"

Daniel and Angela Michael saw a flyer for a banquet put on by
Pregnancy Resource Center of St. Louis.
Wishing to know more about the speaker they went to Miss Missouri's (Amber Etheridge) web site. Imagine their shock
when instead of finding a testimony to life, they found that the current
Miss Missouri is an abortion advocate. This was right on Amber
Etheridge's web site prior to April 1!
Shortly after the Michaels informed Pregnancy Resources Center of this
alarming truth the speaking engagements with NARAL and statement
supporting the "morning after" abortion pill disappeared from
Miss Missouri's web site. Included in this article are screen shots
taken from this web site before it was hastily changed. Click on the

Christians would think PRC of St. Louis would be grateful although
somewhat embarrassed at being made aware of this coup by the abortion
industry. It is very sad that this appears not to be the case. The
response was exactly the opposite with the Michaels being attacked.
Christians across America should be alert to research speakers invited
to events by the many fine pregnancy resource centers and pro-life
groups. Those working in these mercy ministries must do a better job
also and be certain there is no compromise of God's Word or His
children. - Pastor Steve Mashburn
"Here she comes, Miss Missouri"
The only Biblical Position on Abortion: No Exceptions - No Compromise
-No Apology
That's where we stand. Don't you wish all Christians would stand here on
God's Word?
Ephesians 5:6-7&11 "Let no one
deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath
comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with
them." "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of
darkness, but rather expose them."
It appears there was a "blatant conflict of interest." Could
it be that the love of money blinded this Pregnancy Center’s
administration staff even after the facts were presented? When
confronted with the information regarding Miss Missouri’s (Amber
Etheridge) pro-choice agenda and past
speaking engagements, as recent as February, sponsored by Planned Parenthood and lobbying efforts recently for NARAL
at the Missouri state
capital, the marketing director of this Pregnancy Center commented:
"We are aware of her speaking engagements and we talked about it
and don’t see anything wrong. We are still going to have her talk at
our banquet".
HELLO?
We couldn’t help but notice this in their statement of principle by
PRC: "This pregnancy center does not recommend, provide, or refer
single women for contraceptives." At a recent forum sponsored by
Planned Parenthood the reigning Miss Missouri admits she took the
"morning after pill" and is an advocate for the (abortion
inducing) pill. A call was placed with to the individual who was to be
the M.C. of this event. They were shocked! With much prayer and a few
phone calls, 24 hours later we were notified that Miss Missouri had been
cancelled but the banquet would go on with an explanation that ‘Miss
Missouri had a mitigating conflict’.
A mitigating conflict? They should have done the noble thing and told
the truth - that Miss Missouri is in bed, not with the flu-bug, but with
NARAL. Mathew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters." Praise God
that there are still some Godly Christians who don’t compromise with
the world. There can be no compromise, no "reaching across the
aisle," no "middle ground" in the abortion battle.
Neither side will tolerate the other. When one chooses sides here, he is
really choosing between God and the devil—between life and death!
Unfortunately, there are those crusaders who have fallen in love with
the crusade. If abortion came to an end tomorrow they wouldn’t know
where their next paycheck would come from or where their pension plan
would be.
There may be ProLife organizations that DON’T want to see abortion
come to an end. For such, mercy ministries have become a financial
ministry. PRC took in approximately $1.8 million in income in 2001.
Their highest expenditure is staff salaries. The director, pockets
$55,000 salary yearly and the rest, $240,000, went to the salaries of
administration staff.
And in 2002 they received $750,000 in donations. I’m not saying
that these people are not pro life,
but the question is
about priorities. Could it be that they can no longer see
their primary objective - to stop abortion - but rather perpetuating
their own organizations? If so, how sad.
We cannot compromise. Just like Moses said to Pharaoh, "Not a hoof
is to
be left behind." Exodus 10:26
