"Take me out to the ballgame!"
- Malachi

On opening day at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, King Jesus showed up outside the stadium walls bearing the truth as a sea of red converged on this St. Louis landmark that houses the Cardinals National League baseball team. Over 49,000 people were confronted with the truth of abortion. Open the eyes of their hearts, Lord. "America, Jesus died for you!" Security was tight as the President was in town. Sharpshooters were on rooftops and helicopters flew over the city.

As President George W. Bush threw out the first pitch for the Cardinals’ home opener before an approximate 49,000 people, four saints including one with a shofar stood outside showing thousands of people the graphic truth of abortion in America today. We passed out Bibles and a tract that told people, on average over seventy babies a day are murdered, and many women are injured at the Hope abortion Mill in Granite City, IL, and Planned Parenthood in St. Louis, MO.

Matthew 11:13, 15 "Though seeing they do not see; though hearing, they do not understand. For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them."

The fans' reaction was either crying or cursing from the women, which usually indicates they have been personally affected by abortion, somehow. Men were typically angry or apologetic for not having the courage to stand with these proclaimers. Just like the men of Ephraim (Psalm 78:9-11), men today do not know how to fight the battle. They lack the moral character and leadership in society today, so they just give in to whatever feels good, and they turn back on the day of battle.

Ronald McDonald tries to hide in the shadows after his failed attempt to bribe these bold kids with free Happy Meals

Even Ronald McDonald wasn't happy to see the truth. This clown offered the children free food if they would just go away. "You're ruining my day," whined Ronald Get a life! Yes Ronald, Jesus does give Life, and you're just two fries short of a Happy meal!

By the way McDonald's is one of MTV's BIGGEST supporters. The American Family Association reported April 5 th that McDonalds has refused to address the network programs that are filled with sex, profanity, and music with sexually explicit language. McDonald's claims that they support MTV because "it is very much within the mainstream of American popular culture." It’s unbelievable that the burger chain CEOs think we’ve forgotten their Super Bowl preview of what MTV spews out 24/7. See the AFA action alert at http://www.afa.net/activism/IssueDetail.asp?id=118.

Since the Christians were bold enough to hold signs outside the stadium that President Bush was inside throwing out the first pitch, reporters from the newspaper and News Channel 5 KSDK came over and interviewed the proclaimers. What a mix - the unions protesting Bush and the Christians calling everyone not actively fighting abortion with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to repentance! The media cannot resist covering anyone that disagrees with Bush.

Another male fan was upset. He paid fifty dollars for his ticket and these signs were upsetting his appetite. Well, how do you think baby Malachi felt? Some fans recognized the truth-bearers and reacted as though they suffered from Montezuma's revenge or O.B.S. (over-active bladder syndrome) and made a mad dash for the entrances to the stadium. There were some, "God bless you's" as some people were thankful that we were there and accepted the Bibles and tracts. One man even offered to give Hunter a donation but instead Hunter said, "That's not necessary," and gave the man a Bible.

The Church of Jesus Christ has been called to preserve our culture. We have given over our Godly heritage to our favorite past-time events in our cities. What kind of a heritage are we leaving to our future generations? We have made sports and money our god. Can you imagine half of the 49,000 fan-goers showing up outside the Hope Clinic or Planned Parenthood? Our prayer is that the Church will awaken from its slumber and stand at these "gates of hell" and then God will hear us and turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and bring an end to the slaughter of the innocent.

By the way the final score: King Jesus wins!
