Monday- Bag n’ Tag 138 babies from the past week’s carnage were bagged and tagged for medical research labs, pharmaceutical and cosmetic firms.

 

Tuesday- midnight abortions 38       1 save      2 pro-lifers    We paced ourselves with the heat and humidity working against us as we stood in the gap on the sunny afternoon. It was going to be a long night. A faithful brother in Christ stopped by the mill and encouraged us as we were few doing the work of many. He made the comment, “It’s always a good day when he sees us standing in the gap.” Praise God for this encourager. It’s not easy facing death every day. Just think, we could be surrounded with Job’s friends “miserable comforters”.

            Not too long after the brother left, “Brittney”, 7 weeks pregnant, came back out and told us she was keeping the baby, took our brochure, and left with her friend.

 

Wednesday- 7      MO, IL      1 pro-lifer   Mostly late-term follow-ups from the afternoon before.

 

Thursday- 20      ID, MD, MO, IL      1 save      3 pro-lifers     Storms were on the horizon as we set up the ultrasound outreach to the abortion-bound mothers. Early on, divine intervention was taking place. “Courtney” walked back out and we met her in the alley. She looked up and our eyes met and she began weeping. I gently held her as she began sharing. She was 11 weeks pregnant. This will be her third abortion. I discussed other alternatives and inquired on emotional support, etc. She had more things going for her than most other pregnant mothers we help. She didn’t know if she was ready for motherhood. “The choice has already been made. You ARE a mother. God chose you to carry this baby. Give this child the same choice your mom gave you, LIFE!”

            We then went over the resources we can help with and gave her a copy of current botched abortion lawsuits filed against this mill recently. She was shocked. “Back alley abortions have not ended, women just pay more for them nowadays.” She took a drag off her cigarette and confessed she came with someone who was already undergoing an abortion. Courtney said, “I’m supposed to go back in there for counseling.” “You know what kind of counseling you’ll get? One way, Courtney. They are trained counselors to get that abortion. They focus in on your struggling points. They make your inadequacies seem worse so you will take the easy way out which ensures that abortion money. ‘No more baby, no more problems.’ They don’t tell you that your problems are just beginning when you take an innocent life.”

            Courtney lit up another cigarette. “Maybe I’ll just wait out here, but I have to let my friend know I’m out here.” “That’s okay, just don’t let them pressure you into anything. Promise?” She hugged me and thanked me after taking a brochure. It was hard watching her walk back in, but we did what God told us to do. Now it was up to the Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord for giving us divine appointments. You are still on the throne and still in control.

 

Friday- 15      IN, NB, MO, IL      3 saves       3 pro-lifers   It was an interesting morning as we set up our mission outside these gates. It’s usually a little chaotic and you never know what the devil is going to throw your way outside on his playground. Today in the alley a dump truck driver just abandoned his truck midway in the alley. It was blocking a beer delivery semi on his regular route to Ken’s Lounge. For over 40 minutes we searched trying to find the driver. I must say the semi operator was patient, but did blow his horn a few times to no avail. Soon, a local Granite City squad car pulled into the alley. At about that time, the driver of the dump truck walked over holding a McDonald’s bag of food, got in the truck, and took off. But the cop pulled onto the emergency room lot and proceeded to walk inside the abortion mill. Hmmm…

            Throughout this time, we pleaded and offered mothers going in another option. “Brandilynn”, 15 weeks pregnant, walked back out into our arms; she hugged Angela. Her father said she wasn’t going to do it and they accepted our literature, thanked us, and would be in contact.

            The police officer then came back out and got into his car. He sat there a few minutes. Then we noticed the side door crack open. BAM! Read: “Busted! Hope Employees Arrested in Abortion Mill”  

            An American Airlines pilot brought a young girl to kill. Two black women shoving food in their mouths as they walked inside threatened to slap us for offering to adopt or help them with their babies.

            At one point, serial baby killer abortionist Shah poked his head out the supply room door and didn’t expect to see our shiny faces peering at him. Whoa! He ran back in and slammed the door shut. Hey, we don’t bite...much. J

            It was a crazy morning going into noon as we stood in the sun and heat. Daniel was staking out the “ Hanoi Hilton” for a glimpse of the butcherettes or to find out what was going on.

            Another save- two women we talked with earlier came back out with ultrasound papers. Praise God! It was so sad to see a mom from Indiana bring her young daughter. While we pleaded for her baby’s precious life, the mother laughed. The daughter text messaged all the way in as if she didn’t have a care in the world. We live in a very hardened society.

            The butcherettes increasingly kept coming out for smoke breaks. They kept quiet. No one was smiling this day.

 

Saturday- 29      SD, MS, IN, AR, MO, IL      3 saves    on site ultrasounds     175 pro-lifers        Community of Faith Church, Christian Life Center, All Nations Church, Divine Church, Trinity Baptist Church, Suburban Baptist Church, rosary group, one priest

            It was a hectic morning as we awoke a little earlier to attend the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure over in St. Louis , Missouri . The other half of our ministry was storming the gates of hell in Granite City . Read: “Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Breast Cancer/Abortion Cover-Up”         

            While we were in St. Louis , we found out the troublemakers attacked a few pro-lifers including a pastor. The devil’s helpers don’t have respect for anyone outside this mill; they are there to destroy. It was like a seen on TMZ. The phony Christians turned into “crazed drugstore rats”, paparazzi. It was a feeding frenzy over our car as we tried to make our way to the mill to help an abortion-bound couple seeking an ultrasound. Our daughters and I tried our best to stay focused and not trip over the mob and their flashing cameras. We apologized to the couple for the holdup. We explained we were in St. Louis at the Susan G. Komen race. They didn’t seem to mind and came inside the van. Praise God we were able to help them and hook them up with a church and brother for discipleship. God, You are so good!

            While we were in St. Louis , Daniel was able to talk with Miranda and her friend from Indiana . They drove three hours to the City of Slaughter to kill their 16 week old baby. After talking, they decided to keep the baby. Daniel gave them some money for food and gas to get back home. They wanted to go home and tell Miranda’s mom. They thanked him and left.

            Another couple from Missouri came back out and accepted the literature from Daniel. “We’re keeping our baby.” Both thanked him and drove off.

            The huge church group, pastors, and worship leaders did another tremendous job with Pastor Todd leading the charge outside these gates. After singing God’s praises, they did a Jericho March around this mill. One day it’s gonna come tumbling down. They then took the proclaiming line over to the busy thoroughfare and lined themselves along the corridor silently holding their pro-life signs and being a powerful witness to the inhabitants of Granite City . They received a lot of thumbs-up and honks of support.

            We made sure the ultrasound couple was escorted safely to their car and heading back home. We thanked and hugged most in the church group and expressed our appreciation for their support and faithfulness in our mission outside these gates. We are so blessed!

            Thank you Lord for all Your provisions, for hearts touched, and lives saved this week. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ.” Philippians 4:7.  May I take this moment Lord, and embrace the quite joy of being in Your sunlight.

 

Approx. 109 babies killed. 8 babies saved. Approx. 184 pro-lifers cared enough to show up throughout the week’s massacre. 2791 saves since January 2000 and 26 babies have been adopted through Small Victories!
