Granite City , IL Report

10/06/2010- DAY 15

Over half of the mothers returning this day were there to finish the late-term abortion on their innocent babies…sad. We pleaded mercy for their babies and offered other options for their situation. “Why you all have to get up in our business?” is a phrase we hear too often from the abortion-bound mothers.

In our 40 Days intention, we pray that God will awaken His people to the fact that we are our brother’s keeper. In scriptures, Genesis 4:8-10 when Cain came against his brother Abel and killed him, God made it very clear that innocent blood cries up from the ground. We are our brother’s keeper. Christ said, “No greater love has anyone than this, than to lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13. This is the standard outside these gates of death. It is the standard of divine love. Trying to duck our obligation to others is futile. God sees it all.

When we stand before Him on judgment day and He asks, “Where were you when they were killing my children?” what will you say? We will be held accountable for our little brothers and sisters. We can’t get away with simply dismissing others, especially the most vulnerable among us: the preborn, the disabled, the aged, and the sick. God hears and sees their suffering. It should break our hearts as it does God’s.

“Father, help us to embrace the fact that we are our brother’s keeper. Due to selfish motives, we try to cast off our responsibilities. Call us to accounting, to be pleasing to You and to our “brother”. Through the help and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.”
