10/15/2009                                                      DAY 23

Praying for those who do not love us…Today in the cold drizzle we experienced and lived those words out. Jesus was hated, reviled, and eventually killed for His love for us. Probably the hardest thing to do when you are cold, wet, and tired standing daily for those without a voice is to love those who don’t love you. It is sad to say, but today everything was working against us. We opened in prayer and tried softly speaking to the abortion-bound mothers walking by us. So many hardened hearts…

And even the workers of iniquity… We have sadly watched a young man be elevated in this bloody business since he was a teenage deathscort; now a college graduate working and training to kill babies. He is a hometown boy, raised and educated at the local Catholic school. Now he makes a living killing. The only male worker inside a woman’s abortion center. He’s so lost. And yet the Book of Jonah tells us that God loves even the most sinful of people and seeks to bring them into His merciful arms. Likewise, it is up to us to pray for and imitate God’s merciful love to those who take much delight in persecuting us and even those who don’t love us back.

As Monsignor led in prayers, we walked with a couple who came back out and into our arms. They confirmed they didn’t go through with the abortion and were keeping their baby. They accepted our literature and left. Praise God!

BAM! Another Black American woman came back out, accepted our brochure, confirmed she was keeping her baby, and walked to her car.

All hell was breaking loose around prayer warriors as the workers of iniquity were dialing police to remove the ultrasound van from the abortion-bound mothers’ view. You know you’re on track with the devil when you are getting incoming from all sides. GLORY! Even with all the persecution and attempts to distract team leaders, God was still in control and blessing us with much fruit.

Ashley and her mother were intercepted as they pulled into the alley. They were directed to Hope Clinic and told to look for, “Da’ baby lady” and her ultrasound van. BAM! We brought her inside our van and to their surprise and with tears, they were able to view an approx 20 week old baby girl auditioning on the ultrasound screen.

They were a little shocked as they didn’t know they were that far along. The mother spoke up with tears in her eyes, “Well, we’re not going in there,” and she pointed to the abortion mill. “It’s a hell-hole.” We went over physician follow-up and resources we would be able to help them with. Monsignor Steffen and some of the prayer warriors prayed with the family before they got in their car. They thanked us for being there and helping them.

“I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you shall be My people.” Leviticus 26:12. Remind me, Lord, that You are walking beside me. And as I meet stranger or friend, I will bring You into each encounter. And I will never give up or stop praying these dear lost people who despise us out of their bloody killing business, but rather pray them into a business saving and helping protect and nurture lives.”
